About

I’m Will Corder – a photographer based in London, working across portraiture, landscape and documentary.

Photography started out as a hobby in the mid-2000s when I bought myself a camera as a birthday present. At the time I was living in Yorkshire and working in HR at Aviva, spending evenings and weekends photographing moody skies, empty roads, and the occasional aspiring model. I took an NCFE evening course at York College, and with encouragement from my tutor, went on to study Commercial Photography full-time at Arts University Bournemouth, graduating in 2015 with a 2:1 Honours degree.

Since then, I’ve been based in London, shooting a mix of commissions and personal work. I’ve photographed actors, musicians, and campaigns for brands including Max Factor, Amazon, JD Sports, Wella, BBC, Channel 4, McDonald’s, Vitality and Jaguar Land Rover.

While I’ve done a lot of commercial work, my passion lies in slower, more reflective projects – often analogue, often black and white – with a focus on people and place. I’m influenced by photographers like Chris Killip, Gregory Crewdson, Clare Richardson, Pieter Hugo, Martin Schoeller and Peter Mitchell, and I’m a member of The Photographers’ Gallery, where I spend a fair bit of time when I’m not behind the camera.
